General terms and conditions of booking and contract
1. Organiser
These General Terms and Conditions govern the contracting of the services offered by:

2. Purpose
Madrid Horse Tours organises and sells equestrian experiences, horseback rides, multi-day trails, equestrian tourism activities, associated gastronomic experiences and complementary services related to equestrian tourism.
Booking any of the services implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.
3. Bookings and payment
All bookings must be paid for the full price of the experience at the time of booking.
A place will only be confirmed once full payment has been received and Madrid Horse Tours has sent the official confirmation.
Payments may be made by:
- Bank card.
- Bizum.
- Bank transfer.
- Other methods enabled on the platform.
Madrid Horse Tours reserves the right to refuse any booking until payment has actually been confirmed.
4. Cancellation by the customer
Because horses, guides, accommodation, catering and logistics are planned in advance, cancellations are subject to the following conditions:
Cancellations more than 30 calendar days in advance
Refund of 90% of the amount paid.
Madrid Horse Tours will retain 10% to cover administrative and handling costs.
Cancellations between 30 and 15 calendar days before departure
Refund of 50% of the amount paid.
Cancellations less than 15 calendar days before departure
No refund will be made.
No-show
Failure to appear at the agreed meeting point and time will result in the loss of 100% of the amount paid.
5. Transfer of a place
If a participant is unable to attend, they may request to be replaced by another person up to 7 days before the start of the experience.
The new person must meet the same physical, technical and administrative requirements as the activity demands.
Madrid Horse Tours must expressly approve the replacement.
6. Weather conditions
Equestrian activities take place in natural surroundings and are subject to changing weather conditions.
Madrid Horse Tours may:
- Modify itineraries.
- Change timetables.
- Delay departures.
- Suspend activities.
- Change routes.
where there are justified reasons relating to:
- The safety of participants.
- Animal welfare.
- Forest fires.
- Adverse weather events.
- Administrative restrictions.
- The condition of tracks or terrain.
The assessment of such circumstances rests solely with Madrid Horse Tours and its technical staff.
7. Cancellation by Madrid Horse Tours
If Madrid Horse Tours cancels an activity before it begins for organisational or safety reasons or force majeure, the customer may choose between:
- A change of date.
- A voucher for the amount paid.
- A full refund.
No additional compensation will be due for the participant’s indirect expenses.
8. Riding level and admission
The experiences offered by Madrid Horse Tours require previous riding experience.
All routes currently offered are of the following level:
UPPER INTERMEDIATE
The participant declares that the information provided about their riding experience is true.
Madrid Horse Tours may refuse participation or suspend the activity of any person whose actual level proves insufficient to guarantee their own safety or that of the group or the horses.
In such cases no refund will be made.
9. Physical condition and responsibility of the participant
The participant declares that they are in a suitable physical and psychological condition to take part in equestrian activities.
They also declare that they do not suffer from any illness, injury or limitation that could compromise their safety or that of others during the activity.
The participant undertakes to report in advance any relevant medical circumstance.
10. Compulsory use of safety equipment
Participants must follow the guides’ instructions and use the safety equipment required by the organisation.
Madrid Horse Tours may prevent any person who breaks the established safety rules from taking part.
11. Authority of the guide
During the activity, participants must at all times follow the instructions of the guides, route leaders and authorised staff.
The guides have authority to:
- Change the pace of the ride.
- Alter the route.
- Suspend a customer’s participation.
- End a participant’s activity.
where there are safety reasons or inappropriate behaviour.
12. Animal welfare
Madrid Horse Tours carries out its activity according to animal welfare criteria.
It is forbidden to:
- Mistreat or punish the horses.
- Ignore handling instructions.
- Behave in any way that could put the animals at risk.
The organisation may immediately end the participation of any person who breaks these rules.
13. Limitation of liability
Taking part in equestrian activities involves inherent risks of an activity carried out in a natural environment.
The participant expressly acknowledges these risks and agrees to take part under their own responsibility, without prejudice to the insurance cover required by law.
Madrid Horse Tours holds Public Liability insurance and the other cover required by the applicable regulations.
14. Image rights
Photographs and videos may be taken during the activities for promotional purposes.
The participant may expressly authorise or refuse such use during the booking process.
15. Data protection
Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on the website.

17. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute arising from the contracting of the services will be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise.
